What the check requires

Indirect embedded emissions are required because this goods line is not listed in Annex II. If you selected Default, no single official value could be resolved from the recorded route; review the route or enter the applicable value.

A blocking error — this record cannot pass deterministic validation until it is resolved.

Why this is reported

This appears when the rule’s stated condition is met but the dependent field is still absent, null or blank. The deterministic CBAM validator reports it as rule cbam.emissions.indirect-present. The requirement and citation come from versioned profile 1.0.3; Clearlane does not replace them with an AI-generated verdict.

How it gets fixed

Verify the triggering condition, then either correct that source value or supply the dependent data or evidence named in the rule message. Run validation again. Clearlane never fills a compliance value by guessing.
