EUDR GeoJSON warning: select the commodity before applying the 4-hectare point rule

Clearlane cannot finish the point-area check until it knows whether the production place is for cattle, because the current rule treats that commodity differently.

WarningFix at the source

What the check requires

Clearlane needs the commodity before it can apply the cattle exception to the four-hectare point rule, and this check was not given one — so this production place is not shown as passed. Describe it with a polygon boundary instead of a point: that is what every production place above four hectares needs unless it is a cattle establishment, and it settles this check without the commodity.

A warning — it does not block deterministic validation, but it remains recorded for review.

Why this is reported

The geometry file alone does not identify the commodity. Without that context, Clearlane cannot determine whether the normal point-versus-polygon rule applies or whether the cattle exception is relevant.

This warning means a required input is missing. It is not an acceptance, compliance or deforestation verdict, and the file is not shown as passed while the context remains unknown.

How it gets fixed

Select the commodity that this production place supplies, then run the check again. Choose cattle only when that is the actual product context; do not use it to bypass a polygon requirement.

If the file contains plots for different commodities, separate or label them so each point can be checked with the correct context.
