EUDR GeoJSON error: Point Area is below 0.0001 hectares
The current V3 API reference states a minimum Point Area of 0.0001 hectares. A smaller declared value fails this format check.
What the check requires
A blocking error — this record cannot pass deterministic validation until it is resolved.
Why this is reported
A very small value often comes from a unit conversion mistake, a misplaced decimal separator, or an area entered in square metres as though it were hectares.
The check tests the declared Area value against the current technical reference. It does not assess the land, confirm EUDR compliance or guarantee Information System acceptance.
How it gets fixed
Verify the area against the source record and confirm that it is expressed as a bare number in hectares. Correct only a genuine data or unit error.
If the declared value is accurate but the production boundary is available, submit the real polygon instead of changing the area to fit the threshold. Then rerun the check.
